Here are the jury details for the various events that were held in the two day Media Fiesta, Kaustubha and Shooting Stars 2010.
Pitch-in-sanity, Mad Ads with a twist and Bull’s Eye, Press Conference had eminent judges from the field of journalism. Mr Vinobha K.T, reporter of Deccan Herald is a graduate in English Literature and has also completed PG Diploma in Journalism. He has worked as a reporter in a local daily in Kasargod, Vijay Times and The New Indian Express. Mr Sudipto Mondal, of The Hindu was the second judge for the events. Mr Sudipto is an accountant by training and has completed B.Com from Christ College, Bangalore. Mr Sudipto is a character voice over artist and has lent voice for nearly 100 radio commercials. After having completed PG Diploma in Journalism from the Asian College of Journalism, he has been working with The Hindu since 2007.
The judge for Snapdots, Photojournalism was Mr Rajashekar Rao, a freelance photographer and videographer. His other works include, screenplay writing for Kkusum (Sony TV), dialogues for Ayushmaan (Sony TV), Ek Ladki Anjaani Si (Sony TV) and Tumhari Disha (Zee TV). He was the assistant director for Shabd (Feature film) and assistant scriptwriter for Shabd and Supari (Feature film).
The judges for Decibells (Radio Jingle making competition) and Pro-Bono (Public service television announcement) were Ms Concepta Fernandes and Mr Yatish Baikampady. Ms Concepta is the Programme Executive of All India Radio, Mangalore. Mr Yatish is one of the directors of V4 Media, and CEO of Panambur Beach Tourist Development Project.
Jury for Shooting Stars 2010
When it comes to movies, there are different aspects based on which it can be judged. Here in Shooting Stars 2010, our jury comprised of a film maker as well as film distributor. And the details are as follows:
Eashwar Santhosh, film maker and member of Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA). He has six years of work experience with the renowned director Jayaraj. His recent project includes remake of Malayalam movie 4 The People into Kannada.
The second juror was Mr N.R Sudhir, movie distributor and director of Cinevision Distributors Pvt. Ltd. He has been in the field of movie distribution for the last 25 years in all languages. His recent projects include Before the Rains, The Hangman, Perfect Mismatch and Shoot on Sight.
